The heat was, often times, agonizing and unbearable. But despite the exhaustion from that, I really enjoyed my time on the East Coast; from Montauk to Manhattan, I was hanging with the natives. Being with your friends, pushing one another, just going for it. And at my age, I'm still doing it; whether it's surfing with the little guys like my grandson Greyson, or going out with the pros, or the older guys cruising on their longboards, or just filming all the beach girls on their shortboards at San Onofre... Coming from the mastermind of Ian Schrager, The Waikiki Edition is a new type of hotel - kind of like an entity of its own - that's being introduced by the Marriott International.
